Our team continues to develop our substantial acreage position in the Rocky Mountains and is currently pursuing shale opportunities in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta.
At this time, Retamco is focusing on approximately 250,000 acres in the Denver Julesburg, Piceance and Uinta basins, and is developing the best prospects there, while continuing to add to their mineral inventory. A team of seasoned geologists and engineers, all with extensive experience in shale plays in the United States, is focused on these opportunities.
Current exploration activities include the ongoing DJ Basin project targeting Niobrara and Codell zones in Laramie, Platte & Goshen, Counties Wyoming as well as Weld County, Colorado. Retamco is awaiting drilling approval from the US Bureau of Land Management for a US $12 million horizontal, multi-stage frac well to test the oil window of the Piceance Niobrara Shale zone on its 20,000 acre Greasewood Unit in Rio Blanco County, Colorado.
Retamco is currently pursuing opportunities in the world class Vaca Muerta Basin in Argentina. Retamco is in early stage discussions and is finalizing its due diligence activities, with the possibility of becoming one of the first small companies operating in the Vaca Muerta shale play.
